Attorney Geddes

I was born and raised in Ogden, Utah.  I graduated cum laude from Utah State University in 1998 with a degree in Political Science and a certificate in International Relations.  While at Utah State, I was a member of the University’s 1997 and 1998 Big West Conference Championship Men’s Basketball teams.  

I received my Juris Doctorate from the University of Kansas School of Law in 2002.  After graduating from law school, I worked as an associate at Spencer Fane Britt & Browne LLP, in Kansas City, Missouri.  I returned to Utah in 2007 to practice with Smith Hartvigsen, PLLC in Salt Lake City.  During my career, I have successfully represented clients in state courts in Missouri, Kansas, Illinois, and Utah, as well as before various federal district courts and agencies throughout the country.  Most importantly, I have learned to listen to my clients, and to develop solid legal strategies to resolve their most pressing issues.

Interests and Hobbies

My wife and I are the proud parents of three beautiful daughters and two wonderful sons.  I spend much of my free time cheering on my children as they participate in school, dance, and athletic activities.   We also enjoy hiking, biking, and backyard soccer and football games.  Of course, I still enjoy playing basketball and watching a good basketball game whenever I can.
